A small town in south 24 Parganas, Raichak is the most lucrative river bank destination for the tourists. Located at a distance of 50 kms south, the location is very close to Diamond harbour a most famous point for sea fishing in Bengal.

Situated on the bank of river Hooghly the location is famous for it's serenity and scenary.
Historically, the site is famous for fort built by the Dutch, which is has now been converted into  a lively hotel. The site currently acts as a major link between Haldia and Kolkata.

Local economy is based on agriculture, and fishery.

How to reach Raichak:
65 Kms away from Kolkata, the site is well connected by road, rail and air.

By Bus:
Luxury buses ply from Goalpark, Esplanade, which takes one directly to Raichak. Fares vary between Rs 200 - Rs 500/- per trip.
By Train:
Train connectivity is through Howrah station. Buses and Cars are available from Howrah station.

By Air:
Kolkata Netaji Subhas Chandra airport is the nearest airport, from where cars or buses are available.

Accommodation:
Raichak Ffort and Ganga Kutir are very famous hotels in Raichak. Many others Hotels are also available in Raichak like, Hotel Arena, Raichak on Ganges, Punyalakshmi Hotel, The Fort Holiday Club, Raichak Hotel etc. Room fares vary between Rs 500/- till Rs 15000/-.

Food:
Food is of very high quality. Bengali, Chinese, Moghlai and Continental dishes are available which ranges between Rs 2000/- to Rs 2500/-.
